Birthday card with plaids

Hello all,

This is my another project on birthday cards. I have used PABD stamps. I have used plaids to create a striped background with different colors and different inks. I have used distress inks, chalk ins, dye inks and pigment inks, whatever I had in my stash.

I have used the images and the sentiments from a single stamp set from PABD - Happy birthday to you and the circle die set to cut the panel.
I loved the colors and recently I bought a whole marker set from local store, I found it pretty interesting to work with esp with the cupcakes :)

Snowy Scene I

Hello All,

I am trying with the Christmas Cards for the first time this year. I had bought some stamps last month, a big haul for me. I had bought one set from Mudra Stamp-Christmas Decor which they had released in their Christmas collection. I must say, the quality stands out!

I loved the three types of snowflakes of different sizes and designs int he same stamp set. It gives you the opportunity to play more with a single stamp set. You can find the set here Christmas Decor

I have chosen one snow flake to create a background, stamped and heat embossed the same. I have blended some distress inks on a blue hue. The sentiment is from Just rite Hapy new year stamp set.

I hope you like it and sharing this with:

Bleaching Ink : Card 1

I  will try my best to describe the process step by step :
  • Take a card stock, cut it into a shape as per your choice, I did with a slanting line.
  • Blend distress inks. To create a depth, blend a darker color on the edges.
  • Let the CS dry naturally in open air or heat it with your tool *I did on a gas stove*
  • Stamp an image with the darker distress ink that you use for creating depth, and emboss it with clear embossing powder. Here, I have used Lotus delight stamp.
  • Take a pinch of bleaching powder in a bowl full of water and run the water with a brush on to the images only.
  • Wait for sometime, the bleach will react and will fade the area. It can even make the image completely white.
  • Finish it off with some glitter and sentiments. Here I have taken help of glitter cones and alpha banner stamp set.
      Tips:
  1. Select darker colors for the cardstock so that the bleaching technique will give a contrasting image.
  2. Select smaller images that has an outline only.
  3. Be careful with the bleach.
  4. Do not let the paper soak too much of bleach water as it will eventually make it super white that I guess you would not want to.

Challenge post for Peek-A-Boo Designs

Hello there,

Today I have come with a card that I have made for the challenge post of PABD.

I have used Bubble stencil to create the bokeh effect after sponging some distress inks on to the card stock. I have used Studio G white pigment ink to create the bokeh.
I have heat embossed silver on to the butterfly die cut.

The sentiment is a combination of the happy die cuts and the Alpha banner stamp set.

Here is a closer view!

Hope you like it!

Its time for Geometry!

Hello All,

After playing much with traditional cards and floral ones, I decided to go for Geometric patterns. Then I came across Milka's I Love Math challenge. Its Pretty much interesting to work within restrictions and too with maths!

I have PABD's Solid Shapes stamp set in stash which has triangles of varying shapes. I chose one.

I inked my card stock with Spun Sugar, the lightest shade of pink that i have with me. Then I stamped the triangle in a pattern and embossed it with clear embossing powder.
Then I added Festive berries and Picked Raspberry to it for the shade.

I cut the triangle-frame manually for the shaker card and the sentiment die cuts are from Sizzix thinlits.

So, I have used triangle which has three sides, three colors or shades of pink, a Birthday card and CAS as much as possible I could!
