Its time for Geometry!

Hello All,

After playing much with traditional cards and floral ones, I decided to go for Geometric patterns. Then I came across Milka's I Love Math challenge. Its Pretty much interesting to work within restrictions and too with maths!

I have PABD's Solid Shapes stamp set in stash which has triangles of varying shapes. I chose one.

I inked my card stock with Spun Sugar, the lightest shade of pink that i have with me. Then I stamped the triangle in a pattern and embossed it with clear embossing powder.
Then I added Festive berries and Picked Raspberry to it for the shade.

I cut the triangle-frame manually for the shaker card and the sentiment die cuts are from Sizzix thinlits.

So, I have used triangle which has three sides, three colors or shades of pink, a Birthday card and CAS as much as possible I could!

I hope you have liked my card.
I will come again with a new design.
Till then
Loads of love

Its time for the Plaids!!!

Hey all,

This time I am on http://peek-a-boodesigns.blogspot.in/! It has a long time I have crafted anything in particular. Missed me? I missed you people much :)

I have been in love with the Plaids stamp from the beginning and one day I got ample time to play with the designs and had made a lot of plaid designs in every possible color that I could think at that time!

So, why not play with the plaids today?

Without wasting much time, lets get started :)

Today I am bringing four very easy to do designs with plaids.

First Card

Apart from the Plaids stamp design I am focusing on the Solid shapes for this card.

First of all, stamp the hearts and the diamonds with your favourite colors, here I have used distress inks and highlighted them with felt pens.

Fussy cut them. Arrange them and stick them in a circular form to make flowers.
I have used a plaid made with black archival ink. I adhered the plaid design on a pale yellow cardstock and coupled it with some rhinestones and enamel dots.

Too much possibilities with these stamps!!! I bet you second me.

For the second card I have used a combination of plaids and the Monstrous Stamp for a Birthday card.
This card is very simple to make. I had preserved a plaid design on Pink which I have used for this card. I stamped and colored some images from Monstrous stamp. I made this a Shaker Card. The sentiment is from Happy Birthday to You set.

Third Card

The third is a super time saver! I have used a plaid design I had done with the distress inks and I love the look it has resulted into. Just the plaid with the skeleton leaves, Jute twine and the sentiment! And its done.

The sentiment is arranged from the Banner Alpha.

Fourth Project

The last card of the day from my side is a simple one arranged with a patterned paper, a hand lettered fussy cut sentiment and an arranged sentiment from Banner Alpha. AND Its done!

Aren't these too simple?

Card making tip: The card making becomes super easy and time saving if you have plaids earlier. I had made plaid designs earlier on different colors and these four cards took hardly an hour to complete.
So, whenever you are free, play with the plaids ^_^
Thanks for having patience with my long posts everytime :)
Waiting to see your designs with these wonderful plaids.

With much love
Ria

A birthday shaker card

Hello all,

I have newly learnt making shaker cards and I must confess I have become too much addicted to these. With my first post for this month, I decided to go for the second post making a shaker card with the Magical fairies of the Peek-A-Boo designs

Without much delay, moving on to the steps:

I first inked and blended two colors of blue from distress inks. After blending it, added some big drops of water from a water brush. After it got completely dried, I added some white dots and sprayed too with white acrylic. The base is done.

Meanwhile, I stamped and embossed the fairies with black, fussy cut them and adhered them to a case panel (which is cut manually).

I also gave a nice blue hue to the panel and embossed the sentiment on the OHP sheet.
Finished it with some sequins :)

Take  a closer look

I would like to share this card with:

My take on for this challenge:
Two fairies
Two colors of distress inks
Two sentiments
sentiments placed in Two different techniques (stamped & embossed)
Two layers

It's Summer Time

Hello crafty friends,

Hope you all are doing well. And I hope you liked my last post :)

Today I am playing along Paru's card making challenges , and I am quite late for the participation.

Last March,I had won in the Fab n Funky challenges and won some digi stamps from The Paper shelter. I didn't know what to do with these stamps, but now I have got one project to do with it. In the whole lot of won stamps, I got one image of yummy ice cream and I thought what could be better than to use it for Summer theme for the challenge!

Moving to the project and its process, I printed the digi stamp on a paper, and colored it in all the possible way I could and fussy cut it. I made the background with a stencil and overlayed some stamped decorative tape pieces from Kaisercraft, trying to stick to the color of scorching summer (yellow, orange and red).

I added a quote myself with the hand lettering and some wired thread! And here it goes...

Another look of the same

I hope you liked it :)
