Hello All,
I was very eager to try the handmade flowers as soon I saw them in my news feed! The flowers complete the cards like a magic and moreover, I wanted to try something other than CAS style!
I thought for going with some 3D style in my project now.
I stamped the background with Hero Arts Garden tiles with gold embossing powder to finish. I waterwashed it with Victoria Velvet distress ink. (I loveee it !!!)
I cut the flower cut outs manually and inked them with festive berries distress ink
I left them to dry, arranged them with the pollens and finished it with some shimmer from wink of stella.
I have made two flowers of the same shape and size and also added some small handmade flowers to it.
I added some pearl strings to it and the sequins too

I have used the die cut as border to the sentiment (received as a gift)
Written the sentiment with hand and some ink splatters and its done.

I hope i have a lil justice with the flowers with my first try :)

What a stunning card! Beautiful use of soft shades of pink. Just for future reference, we do need a bit of empty space on a card and for it to be 'clean and simple' with minimal layers/embellishments to meet the Less is More guidelines. Thanks for joining in though, and hope to see you at LIM again soon :)

DeleteBeautiful flowers Ria, but as Esther mentioned, ours is solely a CAS challenge and we have specific criteria for entries... do check our Guidelines and we hope to see you again very soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much

Beautiful flowers Ria!!! Thanks so much for playing Paru’s Card Making Challenges
ReplyDeleteThe challenge was to make a birthday card, though.
I love this Ria - such a pretty card. It's fine for our challenge as you used a die for the sentiment! I love that you wrote the sentiment by hand, beautiful script!
